About the Case

MLS Property Information Network (MLS PIN) has agreed to a $3.95 million settlement to resolve claims that it participated in an anticompetitive scheme that led home sellers to pay inflated broker commissions. The settlement covers individuals who sold residential real estate listed on MLS PIN’s Pinergy system between December 17, 2016, and the date of final court approval, and who paid a brokerage commission. In addition to monetary relief, the settlement includes changes to MLS PIN’s business practices. Eligible sellers may receive compensation by submitting a valid claim.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the MLS PIN settlement benefits, you must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Sold residential real estate between December 17, 2016, and the Today
  • Listed the property on MLS PIN’s multiple listing service, Pinergy
  • Paid a commission to a real estate brokerage in connection with the sale
